Hard2Guard Player Development Newsletter 4.12 featured an interview with Stanford University’s men’s basketball strength & conditioning coach Keith D’Ame

lio. D’Amelio is a featured speaker at the 2nd Annual Boston Hockey Summit and Basketball Symposium which takes place on Saturday, May 22nd and May 23rd at Northeastern University.

In the interview, he covers some drills that he uses to train lateral movement. Here are the videos:

Those videoa are very helpful. The “stick” is the stop and balance on the leg? The speed comes from the practice of just the ball of the foot touching the ground and not the whole foot. I think this will help a lot.

Just implemented the lateral movement drills in my spring camp.
Some of my 7th graders struggled with it at first. After a few series they really
got the rhythm of the movement. Thanks for sharing!
