Welcome to the TrainForHoops family,
Our goal is to get going you in the right direction and the workouts in your training program below should be more than enough for you start improving your skills immediately.
The workouts are progressive (they build on each other), so please don’t skip a workout because you find it difficult.
Messing up is part of the basketball training process, so there’s nothing to be ashamed about. Just slow down, focus on your technique while performing the drill and slowly speed up as you get more comfortable performing that specific drill.
Here’s a quick breakdown of how often you should be doing the workouts:
Off-season – 3 to 4 days a week (play pick-up on the days that you don’t train)
In-season – 1 to 2 days a week (if you get consistent playing time)
In-season – 3 days a week (if you’re not getting much playing time)
I hope you like what we’ve put together. The shooting section is still being worked on, but the hand-eye coordination/ball-handling/passing/dribble attack moves sections have all been completed.
