The forgotten aspect of ball handling is the footwork which accompanies any move. Once players master the basic technique of dribbling drills, I continue to challenge them by adding more forms of footwork to the drill; in this case, a speed ladder.
While the transfer to ball handling is debatable, this is a good drill for footwork, concentration, coordination, rhythm and ball control.
